A Potato Sack!

I typically wear XL in jackets and coats. I originally bought this jacket in size Regular 16 that turned out to be ridiculously small. I decided to go with 14W in plus size. The size was acceptable; however, i did not like both the shapeless unflattering fit and the short sleeves. Back it goes.

Unexpected shimmer...

Overall this fits true to size and the fabric is heavy and well constructed. However, the description doesn't tell you that there is a fine silver thread running through the tweed pattern which makes this jacket a lot more "evening or special occasion" than daily wear. I also noticed that some of the fibers running through the tweed want to unravel along the loose trim on the cuffs and edges, and they unravel into this zig-zag that reminds me of those synthetic halloween spider webs. There was a clump of it that had unraveled on a cuff before I even tried the jacket on. Unfortunately, this one is going back.
