Perfect fit runs big

The dress fit perfectly. I thought it ran a little big. I usually wear a 14 and when I tried it on in the store it was quite loose. There was not a size 12 available to try on so the cashier ordered a size 12 to be shipped to me. I was nervous it would be too tight and not fit correctly. I received the dress promptly and ahead of scheduled date. The dress was a size 12 and fit like a glove.
