FUNCTIONS ARE A PAIN

I HATE THIS CALCULATOR. THE GRAND TOTAL BUTTON WILL NOT JUST TOTAL WHAT YOU WANT, IT KEEPS ADDING EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER PUT IN THE CALCULATOR AS A GRAND TOTAL. I CANNOT GET THE DATE SET. I HAVE READ AND READ THE MANUAL AND THAT IS USELESS.

Without a doubt, I am a happy customer of CANON. A TRUSTED name!

I wanted to buy LOCAL. I read the reviews after I bought my MP11DX printer because I was very disappointed that the calculator was shutting off, when not in use. Oh, no, this is going wear my switch out, so I plugged into a power strip to shut it off and on. I had only referenced, some of the directions, prior to using. A couple days later, without thinking, I pressed the CE/C button and BINGO, the screen lit up with the numbers still there. So, for the three review ahead of mine, (FL, CA and TX) I have always lived by, IF ALL ELSE FAILS, read the directions, which I had not done and have not, yet! I love being able to just touch the CLEAR BUTTON and the sleep mode awakens, with my numbers. WHAT A GREAT FEATURE! As for the expertise Level; it works for Casual User to Professional.

Only 2 years old.

We purchased a Canon MP11DX in September of 2018. For over a year I was hearing a high pitch noise. We blamed the lights, router, computer... last week I had had enough, and the sound was getting louder, others were hearing it as they walked into my office.So I began unplugging electronics one at a time. the adding machine was the last on my list. as soon as I unplugged it the noise was gone. I called canon and was told by an operator that they no longer support the MP11DX. SO I would think twice about getting this out dated machine.

I've been buying this model for years whenever it eventually fails. I thought it was broken because it kept turning itself off until I read the other review that mentioned the sleep mode!! Why???

I don't like the sleeper mode

I bought this unit a year ago and found it had a power-saving mode added to it. There should be a way to turn this feature off because it is very annoying when you turn away for a moment and then have to turn it back on.
