Overall a great kit

Camera quality is very good. I really like the small tri-pod and remote. Battery life is as expected so I bought extras to start, but so far no issues. It will be interesting to see how it does in the summer desert heat. The only difficult issues are trying to attach the microphone cover (but finally got it in place, but I like that it is secure now), and removing the hot shoe cover.

Perfect beginner set!

I love this camera! I'm a social media manager for a restaurant group and this camera and lens set is perfect for a beginner like myself. The images are clear and the camera is just what I needed. I highly recommend this product.

I love my new camera.

I sold all of my Nikon gear and purchased this camera setup because my husband shoots with a canon mirrorless camera. I’m extremely happy with my purchase. It’s light and very affordable. Canon is very user friendly. The kit lens is just that. A kit lens. Nothing impressive, but then I didn’t expect it to be. I bought this kit for the the mic and mini tripod. It’s fun to use.

This Camera OVERHEATS!

Bought the R8 about a month ago. Love the quality of images and video. The one complaint I have is that this camera is advertised as having 4K, 60FPS, however, if you use that setting the camera will overheat quickly. And that’s inside, in a temp/humidity controlled environment. Outside at 75F or higher, forget about 4K resolution. You have to stay at 4K30 or 1080 to keep it from overheating. Please update the firmware to reduce the heat if possible. This could be a 5 star camera at the price point but am truly disappointed in the 4K performance. This needs to be addressed!
