Really liking this camera. I bought it for travel and love that it is so light and compact. I wish it used the battery my other cameras do - but I can cope. The photography quality is excellent.

The R8 is Great but the RF24-50mm lens not so much.
The camera is really good, great specs and really good image quality if you have a good lens on the camera. The RF24-50mm lens, while light and compact, is not a good lens. That's the reason for the minus one star for this kit. The body alone is worth 5 stars. Raw images require an enormous amount of correction that it's not even worth shooting in raw. The in-camera correction of the JPEGs is okay. So, as a kit, this system is best only for images you plan to upload to a web site. Put a better lens on this camera and it's as good as the R6 Mark II but without IBIS. For me, the RF24-50mm sits in a drawer and I have the RF24-105mm f4L on the R8 for really great images both in JPEG and RAW.

Superb everyday camera.
Had it for a month and it continues to amaze me with its features. My only complaint is the LP-E17 battery.

Full frame value
Excellent value - the kit lens is fine for jpeg shooting since the camera automatically corrects for CA and vignetting, and the camera handles beautifully. It almost feels "too light" but is solid. Battery life isn't the best but charges with >22W USB-C, which I'm sure you have lying around somewhere.

Amazing camera. Great condition.
I recently bought this camera for YouTube, and it came in amazing condition. The thing I love most about it is the auto focus, which is very quick at tracking me when I'm moving around on camera. I would highly recommend.

I still like my 5D MKII better, but they are not the same
I understand this is supposed to be a better camera. It is lighter, and better electronics. But I guess I was just getting used to my old camera. NOW, a whole new learning curve. Why do they change all of the methods for getting to the same goal. Just to keep people busy I guess.

Stepping up my game with R8
Been enjoying this small to handle powerhouse of a camera, it's a great segway from my first DSLR.

I'm switching. Nikon glass for sale.
Bought 1 month ago. It made me switch from being a 25yr nikon guy with tons invested in glass. I'm now going to this RF lightweight full frame.
