Wanted to Love but So Disappointed

These sheets were wonderful out of the bag because they easily fit my new very deep pocket mattress. I was even pleasantly surprised that the color was not as intense. I usually buy 100% cotton so I knew that I would need to get accustomed to the sort of slippery thin feel of these sheets. As I always do, I put the sheets in the laundry. I have a tendency to react to new clothes, sheets, etc. I opened the washing machine door and was blown back (and I mean blown back) by the foul, putrid odor. 4 washes later the smell was less but not gone. Once dried, the smell was less but I could not get that smell out of my nose or head. It was not dead animal but was definitely fetid, like compost. Back you go and off I go to find something different. So Disappointed.

Flat sheet had holes right after the first wash, even though I washed them on delicate cycle and only the sheets.

Stains remained after washing

I'm very disappointed that after washing the sheets the stains on the pillowcases were still there. I returned them.
