Beautiful colors, bottoms too large

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel that Carters has recently changed their sizing. I loves carters for my petite girl because I always knew the pants would fit unlike most other brands that fall off of her waist. Now I feel like they are just as big as other brands and I’m having a hard time with this. All of our carters hand me downs that were properly laundered to not shrink fit so well in her current 2t size but alas these are by her knees by three steps. I’m sure this is great for other parents, however I am a bit saddened by this realization.
