Stained Garment

I ordered this outfit for my 18 month old granddaughter for Valentine's Day. At first glance I was very happy with the outfit. It was Carters brand which is usually good quality. However then I saw it - a huge black stain on the top under the heart - HUGE. I was so upset. My husband insisted on trying to wash the stain before sending it back. So, he scrubbed the stain with Dawn dishwash liquid and then took it to laundry room and rubbed some Persil on it. The stain is now barely visible. I will keep it and wash it in the washer before allowing my granddaughter to wear it. Even though I kept it, I'm still disappointed that Macys would send out this item. I didn't think fast enough to take a picture of the stain, but it was very large - almost the size of a quarter - and it was dark black. I have no idea what it was. Maybe better not knowing but I can't imagine whoever packs these items up to mail out did not notice it. They probably did but mailed it out of laziness.
