Wrong dress issuing gift card instead of refund!

Macy's sent me the wrong dress! They sent a baby blue instead of black dress. Spoke to customer service to return. No replacement available. I purchased it online with my credit card. Instead of a refund they are mailing me a "gift card" that can be used at Macy's only. This is totally unacceptable as after this experience I will not be shopping with them any time in the future.
