Cute but size runs large

I liked the sweater, cute and good for winter. Unfortunately, I got the wrong size when I ordered online. Went to the store, and they had different sizes. Found the right size, but because the item was on final sale, I was not able to replace it with a smaller size. It was right in front of my eyes and but the system didn't allow the salesperson to perform an exchange. It was disappointing.
