Smashed to Smithereens

Bought this bowl on a sale after Christmas and it arrived yesterday with the ominous sound of broken pieces rattling around in the box. Yep, it was broken. Too bad it is a pretty bowl. The worst part is that it is no longer on sale and is 3x more expensive than when I purchased it. I know Macy's per se is not responsible, however they are the losers as well since I will not be re - purchasing the bowl at the higher price. I wish the distributers of fragile products would package these items with more care. There was Styrofoam used but it was the flimsy kind that didn't hold up well to UPS's abuse.
