What a beautiful watch!
I rarely write reviews, but I couldn't contain my excitement. Hehe I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I've been eying the watch for a while now, and I finally ordered it a couple days ago. It arrived yesterday, and I must say, it's even more beautiful in person. The leather looked a bit cheap online, but it's good quality in person. The two dials give the day of the week and date. Also, there are enough holes on the strap for those with a bigger wrist. Overall, the look of the watch is classic. White and Gold really go with the brown-leather strap. It's a birthday present for my Dad. Glad I went with Citizen since I already got my Dad a Seiko watch a few years ago. :)
Great Looking Casual Watch
This is a beautiful timepiece with a preppy look and superior construction and features. I wear it with a sport coat or at casual, but nice events. It comes with a very nice leather band, gold plated and well formed buckle, sapphire crystal, and rose gold numbers on the white face. It has the elements of a fine watch without having to pay for a big name. A year ago I bought an inexpensive watch that looks just like this one. At first glance they're hard to tell apart, but when compared in your hand, the day/date dials actually work and the quality of the Citizen is immediately obvious. The cheap one now has a small crack in the plastic window and the stamped steel clasp is nice, but not like the good jewelry feel and appearance of the Citizen. This watch is also gold plated adding to its classic appeal. Lastly, I'll never have to change a battery in it. Ultimately it runs on light.
Beautiful Watch
I bought this and another watch for my dad because I couldn't decide which one I liked the best for him. My dads vision isn't as great as it used to be so he needs a watch with big numbers. I loved this watch but was hesitant because he never wears leather. So I bought another watch from a different brand with a metal band. But when I saw both of these watches together I let my dad choose. With lots of hesitation he chose the other watch but I just couldn't bring myself to return this watch. It's just so nice and classy. I decided to just give him both and he was super excited. He said he'll use the other watch for everyday but this watch he'll use on special occasions. Plus with the eco-drive he never has to worry about changing the battery. If I didn't already have a decent watch I probably would have kept this one for myself. But my dad is a great guy and deserves a great watch!
