Beautiful ring until it tarnished and uncleanable

I loved this ring when i first bought it. Wore it once or twice, then put it back in its original box during the holidays. Took it out today and it is completely unwearable. The "gold" plating turned completely to a brassy bronzy color, with black marks. I tried cleaning it and no change. It is awful now. I've never had this experience with any plated jewelry. If anything, the plating might rub off after a few years from wear -- but certainly not change to a cheap looking brassy metal. It looks nothing like the ring I bought. I really want my money back.

Bad

I am SO disappointed. I had been tracking this ring for a while. The stone is fine. The band is tarnished on arrival! Will be returning immediately. Just awful. This is my first very bad experience with Macy’s jewelry
