Odd fit
I usually love clarks shoes and have a closet full of them. These boots, however, had an odd fit. They were tight across the ball of my foot, and they had a lot of extra room in the heel that caused them to slip when I walked in them. I was hoping these could replace a pair of black Clarks boots I've finally worn out after about 10 years. They went back.
Macy's has the best customer service!
Before I make my review about this Clarks boots, I want to give a shout out to Macy's customer service. Never had an experience like the one I had last week. First of all, thanks to Tina (I guess it is her name). I ordered these boots & FedEx left them outside my apartment building which ended up in me never getting them- someone else took them. Talk about a free Christmas gift!! I disputed the delivery to FedEx but I never heard from them about the delivery. I called Macy's immediately and Tina was outstanding. I explained her my situation and she gladly expedited a credit (another order) for the same boots and this time I got them thru UPS which, I had to sign for them and they came right to my door. I can't express how grateful I'm for Tina's help and for how prompt, professional & sweet she was making my bad experience a good one again. Now, these boots are the best thing ever. Leather, waterproof. Yes, waterproof leather. It's been raining a lot here in Alexandria, VA & I've been going out in them everyday just to make a point and make sure they won't get water stained. Water repels awesomely!!! People look at me like I'm going to damage the boots by getting them wet- and I mean WET in the rain- but they're really waterproof. Best purchase ever and thanks again to Tina. You take the Macy's customer service experience & the shopping experience in general to a whole new level. I hope u read this. Had to return because they were too large
I really like the look and feel of these, but they were rather large and made it feel like I had clown shoes on.
