Disappointed due to incorrect sizing

I love these booties, however the size on the box does not agree with the size on the inside label. I was soooo disappointed as the shoes didn't fit at all. Very very small. I actually ordered a half size bigger than what I would normally wear, to accomodate winter socks. I wouldn't have been able to wear them with nylons. Please stores, check the label on the interior of the shoe. It clearly says US 5 1/2 not 6 1/2. I normally wear a 6 medium and there is no way these are anywhere near a US 6 1/2
