My 2nd pair of these fine shoes. I have a long shoe horn to put them on so I barely bend over. Easy to get on and off. The soles are a soft rubber type material that has good traction and are easy to walk on. I think the tongue comes up a little higher on these loafers which makes for a great fit. Nice shoes. They were gone for a while. I am glad they came back.
The price is right but you get what you pay for
A lot of these shoes seem pretty much the same, Rockport or Clarks or whatever, but apparently they have different qualities of cushioning, with some breaking down faster than others. The more resilient the cushioning, the higher the price. The cushioning on these broke down within about 9 mos., leading to back and hip pain. I was ready to buy another pair of shoes to replace them but then found out on ChatGPT what was occurring, so I bought some new high-quality slip-in supports to replace the original ones that had broken down, hopefully extending the life of the shoe and stopping my back and hip problems. I also bought a pair of a higher-quality brand with better quality cushioning that should last 2x as long, and will rotate shoes every other day to extend life to allow the shoes to fully dry and recover between wearings.

poor sole
A most comfortable shoe. But, soles don't even last a year walking on Florida lawns. (that's grass and sand)
