I personally like this palette I initially bought it as a gift since the colors look bluish but it's more of a smoky eye palette. Which was the reason I ended buying one for myself. I like shimmer shadows and these blend nicely and have good pigment so I am very satisfied with it.

Nice pallet of colors
Colors are darker than shown - e.g. blue is more navy. They go on well and are long lasting. The two "whites" are both very white with one have a tinge of blue/violet. Very nice set for the money with great variety of colors that you can wear.
not mate
It's shimery, even though shown as mate. Will be going back.
Not Matte!
I ordered this pretty palette only because it was supposed to be all matte shades. The picture looks matte, the details don't say, and the reviews are mixed. In fact, it sounds like some people got a completely different palette! So I contacted the Macy's Clinique Specialist, and she said it was all matte. Sadly, it's not. The palette I received are the cool colors as shown in the picture (only two shades are warm tones), but only four of the 14 shades are matte. The rest are shimmer (okay, but not what I wanted) and (ugh!) super shimmer (if I wanted eyeshadow in my contacts, I'd just put it there myself, okay?) I am bummed because the cool colors would work well with my blue eyes and ivory skin, and I was really looking forward to playing with my new eyeshadows! The good part is that Macy's is awesome for returns, so easy-peasy on my part. But I do hope Clinique takes note and comes out with a true matte set in cool shades for us cool-toned people. And another in warm tones for the warm-toned people, because I need to be fair. But do the cool one first, okay? (Smiley face!)
Very nice colors, good quality
I bought his for myself and then decided to give it as a gift. The person receiving it loved it. Colors are great.
