Extremely old stock (5+ years old)

I’m a long-time Clinique customer and love their skincare, so I was excited to try their lipsticks. Unfortunately, every lipstick I received was severely old/expired. I reordered 4–5 times (gift sets and individual lipsticks) and even ordered directly from Clinique, not only Macy’s, thinking it was bad luck. But every single one arrived with a batch code indicating production around 2020 (over 5 years old). Several had a stale, unpleasant “old makeup” smell, and I didn’t feel comfortable applying them on my lips. At this point it doesn’t feel like a coincidence — it seems like very old stock is being sold. Extremely disappointing, especially from a brand I otherwise trust.

No brush

I was expecting a brush on one end of the applicator, but both ends were the spongy white one. This was disappointing. Also, the colors aren't as bold as I was expecting. I'm not particularly tan, but I could barely see the eyeshadow on my eyes. I was hoping it would pop and I was left underwhelmed.
