Clinique Smart Night Clinical MD Treatment Retinol Serum is a skin-repairing night treatment that jumpstarts the anti-aging process with retinol plus hydration. What you should know about retinol: * Retinol is an extremely effective and powerful anti-aging ingredient. You may experience mild redness, a warm, tingling sensation, or flaking (skin exfoliation). These conditions are normal, temporary indications that the formula is working. If you experience increased discomfort when using Clinique Smart Night Clinical MD Multi-Dimensional Repair Treatment Retinol, revert to once every other night until skin adjusts. This adjustment can take up to 4 weeks. First time users and those with drier skin types may want to use Clinique Smart Night Clinical MD Multi-Dimensional Repair Treatment Retinol every other night for more than 2 weeks to give skin additional time to adjust. For added comfort, use a mild cleanser and layer an additional moisturizer over Clinique Smart Night Clinical MD Multi-Dimensional Repair Treatment Retinol. Limit sun exposure in general. Be sure to apply a sunscreen of SPF15 or higher during the day while using and one week after stopping use of Clinique Smart Night Clinical MD Multi-Dimensional Repair Treatment Retinol. Note that extreme weather conditions such as wind or cold may be more irritating, so take the proper precautions to protect your face.

Fantastic spot treatment for acne flare ups!
I have used this in the past as an all over treatment but, because I'm not as diligent as I should be I discontinued using it for that purpose. However, it is fantastic as a spot treatment for acne or pimples. If I see that I'm getting a flare up, I put a tiny amount over the area before I goto bed and the next morning it's gone! I much prefer this to the acne gel because it's an instantaneous fix. Clinique really should include this in the description because a lot of people may start using it for that reason alone. My opinion, buy it and keep it on hand because you never know when you may need it.

Texture is worse overall after 2 months
I originally started using this for fine lines on my forehead. I've been using this twice a week (couldn't tolerate three) for 2 months. My skin is noticeably more irritated whenever I use it. But my biggest gripe is my forehead looks more textured and saggier. I use Clinique City Block SPF 50 everyday, a Torriden moisturizer, and Clinique All About Clean cleanser which is super gentle. I know you're supposed to stick it out with retinol but I'm afraid to keep using it.

Love this retinol product!
Love this product. My skin adapted to this retinol quickly as it has a lot of moisturizing benefits to it as well. Definitely has made my skin look smoother and has pulled out some trouble spots and got rid of them quickly too.

Love, Love, LOVE this stuff!!!
This is probably one of the best retinol treatments I've tried, and I've tried a few over the years. It's pricey, but worth it, especially when on sale. I just wait for one and STOCK up. I know it works, because when I started using it, my skin sensitized, although it was gentle enough to avoid any retinol burns or aggressive purging, which is a major plus. I also love how it clears up my skin when I'm having any sort of hormonal breakouts. I seriously recommend trying this product if your in the market for a non-prescription retinol that is effective, yet gentle.
