Lint Lint Lint and more Lint

Updating after having to use about 10 lint roller sheets on it tonight. First time I washed the item, it was okay. The amount of pilling and lint is beyond ridiculous. I'm more upset that I bought a few of these as gifts for friends and family. I'm sure they were just as teed off by the massive amount of lint and clean up. I went through 10 lint remover sheets on my ironing board--after shaking out the item on my patio. It's going to get tossed when it warms back up. Loved the way it was made and the cut. Just need material that doesn't pill and shed all over the place.
