Piezo needs replacement frequently.Used machine for 2 years. Stored for one year correctly. When trying to use for third year machine would have to be sent for repair as would not function. Cost unknown. Suggest buying inexpensive humidifier as value for price not there.

cute design but........
I've been a big supporter of Dyson products, we have 4 devices of different types including multiple humidifiers. This one died after 2 months of use resulting in a very very long process to have it replaced. I would have expected better from Dyson.

Husband snore no more
Since the day we bought this, to a year later, it helped my husband stop snoring, I notice my skin is softer and nicer, we sleep better. We use it every night. We love it.

Good humidifier, impossible to clean
I don’t know if I have this exact model, mine’s a few years old. It definitely adds humidity to my room & I appreciate the fan with it, adds a lovely cooling effect. But the cleaning, I’ve given up; absolutely a pain in the butt to take everything apart & then go try to fit it all back together - that’s a nope. So, I never clean it anymore and will likely just toss if for a new one. Cleaning shouldn’t be this hard & I shouldn’t have to add to a landfill, because it’s impossible to clean. Other than cleaning I really like this humidifier.

Disappointing
I purchased this humidifier a month ago and have been struggling to justify the price tag for the product I received. Dyson is known for their intuitive design but this machine requires you to nearly take the entire device apart in order to fill the water tank which drips water all over the place when you take the canister out of the machine. Living in Canada during the winter requires a lot of humidification to keep my room comfortable and I find I am needing to refill the machine every 4-6 hours which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't so difficult to do so. The device also lacks a lot of features that should be expected at this price point compared to other Dyson products. I have owned a Dyson fan that I have been running for 3 years non-stop that I absolutely love which I am able to check the current temperature and humidity of the room but for some reason my humidifier is not able to tell me what the current humidity is? The machine allows you to set your target humidity level but I need to use my other Dyson fan to actual check what the current humidity is in the room. The build quality is also that of a machine 1/10th of the price, composed of cheap plastic versus having a metal base like my fan and the remote is made of cheap looking plastic compared to my metal remote that came with my fan. The machine is quite and seems to do a decent job at humidifying the room which is why I have decided to keep it but it is hard to justify the steep price point when that extra Dyson quality you typically pay for is not there.

Don't Buy It - Seriously
I would have given this product 5/5 stars two months after buying it - now it's 0.5/5 after one year. Issues continue popping up. It randomly started to "whistle" when turning up the fan setting - but now has stopped. Even cleaning it as instructed isn't enough. After cleaning it often with citric acid it started to smell, now we have algae growing in the water tank that will not go away. I would even clean everything deeply with qtips to get into the small section and still not clean enough. Dyson is sending us a new tank but we still don't feel safe using this product, it's concerning spending this much money on a product and it could lead to lung/sinus infections due to the algae... I have a Dyson vacuum and love it so maybe stick with what you're best at. Spend half the price on a better humidifier and you'll be just as happy, if not happier. I would only recommend their vacuums but probably won't buy anything else from them after this product.

Cleaning it is a nightmare!
Weekly and monthly cleaning requirements are onerous. The monthly cleaning is an arduous process of taking the machine apart and putting it back together. I have a number of Dyson products and expected the same easy maintenance on this one, but I was wrong. Otherwise, it does seem to work well and it is quiet.

Dyson does it again!
I own two Dyson humidifiers now. They work fantastically. The pandemic has me indoors a lot more often. I was suffering from itchy eyes, nose, throat and skin from the dry air in my home (measured it - it was hovering at 18 to 20 %)! The Dyson humidifiers have eliminated that problem altogether and with their use, the humidity levels in my home can be brought up to between 30 and 50 percent - which is ideal! We move them around to different rooms as we need them; they are in our bedrooms at night. They are quiet, easy to assemble, easy to use and clean . . . and most importantly, they do what they are supposed to.
