Don't buy

Well, was okay until they discontinued the product and now I can't get parts for it...seriously. Spending that much money, they know thousand of people have bought the product, but they discontinue not only the heater/cooler fan (which is fine) but they don't continue making the filters. Sent me filters they said would fit, argued with me that they would, showed them pictures that they don't then admitted they discontinued the parts. Horrid online chat help...

Best investment I ever made.

I bought mine in the Fall of 2020 on QVC, and it’s the best investment I ever made. I have asthma and it has helped to purify the air during some of the worst times of the day especially where I live, which is on a major Boulevard, with exhaust fumes permeating into the house from all the traffic. It’s still working beautifully after three years. I’ve had no issues with it. I was without heat in my house two years ago, after my basement flooded and it warmed up the whole apartment. I don’t have to turn up the heat yet because the heat setting is making it very comfortable in here. Great product!!

Remote

You can’t use the app to control heating and dyson prevents you from using a 3rd party remote to program the heat. If you lose the tiny remote it comes with you can’t turn on the heat and you’re basically left with a glorified fan.

Due to federal regulation UL278, heat functions cannot be controlled via smart apps. I loved this... It stopped working after 3 years.

I bought this end of 2019. I loved it. Filters are expensive but it worked really well. So yesterday it stopped working and has the exclamation mark with a triangle around it. I tried resetting but it won't stay on long enough. Unplugging it and plugging back in. For the price you pay... Only 3 years of use is crap in my opinion. Warranty is only 2 years. I won't be buying Dyson products ever again.

Brilliant machine

Hi received this machine a few weeks ago, it’s absolutely brilliant, it heats the room up in no time with the added bonus of cleaning the air. Another bonus is that you can connect it to the Dyson app and Alexa so easily turning on and off. Would definitely recommend this machine.

Works Well - Minus a couple caveats

I really enjoyed my hp04 hot and cool and was elated to have it for the first month or so. Loved being able to ditch my space heater for one that purifies the air and heats, all with the mighty Dyson name. First thing I started to notice after a month or so was on power level 10 a high pitched ringing noise. I reduced to 9 and it stopped. Now sometimes it's happening at that level too which is annoying. Secondly I wish the air flow was more powerful at the higher settings therefore taking in more air particles and purifying better. Honestly I'm not sure how well it purifies the air because of this. The filters don't seem to get very dirty at all - especially by the time the device alerts me to replace it. I have 2 dogs a cat that are very hairy and old carpet needing replaced that I know is a source of dust and particles. The replacement filters are also very expensive which I wouldn't mind the device performed better over all. I think Dyson is an overpriced "luxury" brand and it is disappointing that at their price points silly little things like this happen.

You will have 10 airflow speeds which you can choose from, in either heating or cooling mode, and when using the heat, can set the temperature up to 99 degrees. Broke within warranty and never replaced

We used this air purifier rarely, only one summer and it started making mechanical noise on power up and it wouldn't run. Contacted Dyson support as the fan was still under warranty. After series of emails, it was concluded that it has failed and replacement unit will be sent. This was in March of 2022, now is almost November. There was no attempt to repair, nor replacement unit was ever sent. At this point the support doesn't even respond to emails. I understand that there could have been supply chain issues, but this should have been resolved by now, and alternatives offered or refund given. Instead we just get an email saying that when unit is available the replacement will be sent, which at this point will never happen. There are products at the lower price range that are more reliable and the companies that actually honour the warranty. I would not buy their products again. An overpriced product for average performance and quality.
