Heard that this product would cut my straightening time in half, if not most of the way. I tried it out on air dried hair. (I have half wavy, frizzy and fuzzy 3c/4a hair type). The front half has loose waves/curls and the Instyler got it about 95% straight with 2-3 passes. Now the back of my head is more course, so I definitely had to take smaller sections and pass it 3-4 times. Since I didn't want to burn my hair, I used it on the 2nd setting not the hottest. It did not get all of my edges but I already knew and expected it. For best results, have a friend/family do your hair, because it will go way quicker than doing it yourself. The smaller the sections the better it works. Patience and heat protector are a MUST.

It's a good product. I like that you don't have to have your brush in one hand and the straightener in the other. I have long thick hair so I had to go over the same section twice but it does make your hair shiny.
