Bad Design

This cabbage pitcher is unique and beautiful. When I saw it it just grabbed all my attention and commanded me to buy it. Once I got it home and picked it up I noticed that the handle is really narrow so picking it up empty was not comfortable and once I put water in it the handle did not support the weight. If I only filled it up 1/4 of the way it was ok but any more than half filled was uncomfortable to handle. For me I would want the handle to be double or triple the width, trying to hold such a thin handle with liquid inside the pitcher made my hand hurt. I wanted to use this pitcher every day to serve water in for my kids in daycare I could have used this as a teaching tool in so many ways as well as possess a beautiful pitcher to use at family get togethers. I did not buy the pitcher for it to be decoration. Unfortunately I returned the pitcher the next day for a refund I really wanted to like it it was on sale and I got an additional 25% off. Even with all the discounts I made a decision to get my money back and because of the design of the handle to pitcher ratio not being even I would not recommend this item but if they ever redesigned it I would buy it again.
