Inaccurate Product Description.

My husband orderd a pair of these slippers based on an on-line description of Size "Small" as being 7-7 1/2. When he picked up the slippers, the box read that Size "Small" was 6-7. He rechecked the on-line description while at the Macy's, and it still read that "Small" was 7-7 1/2. He tried one slipper on anyway, but it didn't fit. We returned the slippers before even leaving the Macy's store. Why the mix-up?
