Plastic feel

My husband thought it was a throw back to a favorite shirt I had purchased (the pattern is close). The fabric is not. He bled a bit on this shirt prior to wearing the first time, and it did not rinse out easily at all, like other fabrics. Made from recycled plastic, may not be a good idea?
