Came broken?

It smells great, my mom does love the scent a lot, it was a Christmas gift for her but the bottom part of where the perfume itself was sitting was broken as if someone took it out and harshly put it back in, and then the perfume itself is hard to spray/spritz the actual pump gets like stuck somehow? And shoots a lot of liquid at once. Overall, extremely disappointed and upset, it was a Christmas gift and I had no time to return and buy something else since it came on the 24th.
