Received peeling and scratched bag

I am really disappointed with Macys on this purchase on what I believe is a used bag. They originally claimed it would be delivered by Friday but due to their delay in packaging and shipping it was not delivered until Monday. Annoying but not the end of the world. However, this purse appears to be possibly used. I received it today and the corner's already have marks of peeling, and the bottom is has multiple scratches. I know it is a delicate leather and peeling is possible but it should not happen before the bag has even been used. It was also shipped with no protection, just in a plastic bag with no padding or bubbles. It is either used or was damaged during shipment. I will be returning and buying from Coach in stores. I would not pay full price for a used bag. The tag was also suspicious as it looks to be taped and re-attached.
