Love it!

I received this same mortar and pestle and loved it so much that I bought one for my granddaughter! The design is perfect. The rounded bottom is a great size and the pestle is large enough to do its job! It has so many uses, from grinding hard seeds to basil. And it's easy to clean!

Substantial & granite is so functional

I bought this for my husband several years ago and discovered it in a cupboard that is seldom used. Loving it for its beauty and functionality. I now display it on my kitchen countertop.

Chipped

It chipped after 2 uses while I was trying to make pesto with basil and pinenuts...saw black grains in the mix. Had to throw the entire batch. Could not return since it had been more than 3 months. Very disappointed.

Motor & Pedestal Black

Large, oversized heavy. Inside is rough so what I bought it for actually falls into cracks inside. Have to move back and forth (heavy) to get what crushed to center. Then scrape out, pounding constantly._x000D_ Had I known size and non-smooth inner bowl I would of Never bought.

Substantial !

Very well made. Smooth, no blemishes inside or out, pestle is sized well. Overall size is larger than I expected, but it’s really the size I’ll need. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m sure this will get well used once holiday season slows down.
