Works for transporting Cool or Dry products
We had several uses for this cooler. We purchased 2 because of how helpful they are. We own a cigar company and needed something that would keep our cigars dry and still provide a small amount of humidity. These coolers were the ones. We would transfer over a 100 cigars easily for events. There were times the cigars would go days without being taken out of the cooler and they never got hard or damp. It held the humidity good and kept the cigars safe. We also had one we used to carry refreshments and snacks and this would allow us to carry a nice amount. They also clean very easily.

Good cooler
It is a big size insulated cooler for ocean fishing. I bought this product 10 years ago and I still use it without a problem. Dont leave it outside.

Durable and practical
This has been my favorite cooker ever. Loads of room. I added a Coleman cooler light, and it's been super durable and always keeps everything ice cold no matter what we are doing. The kids have always sat on it without an issue, and it has cup holders too

Coleman cooler user for years
Purchased the cooler May 2021 for use on my boat as a fish locker. Usually start trip with 60 lbs of ice and add fish throughout the day. By the time the cooler is half full of fish, the ice is melted down to about 10 lbs. Does not keep ice as stated on label. Have used the cooler on three fishing trips and the hinge screws pulled out out the flimsy lid. How could any design engineer think that the tiny short screws would hold the lid when it sags and there is no sufficient material for the screw to grab onto. It seems like the cooler lid and possibly the walls are not filled properly with foam. Should I attempt to repair the product myself by installing inserts in the lid and possibly the cooler wall so the screws have something to grab onto?

Terrible cooler
Lousy fit on the lid. There is a warning stamped on the cooler that it's "Airtight Seal" can trap small children. What a joke! Tried using this cooler for cold beverages, and the ice all melted within a day and a half of our drive. Had to add ice every day. Decided to use it for dry storage (books and clothing) on the trip home since it can't keep anything cold. Checked cooler after driving through rain and found over an inch of water in the bottom. Clothing can be washed, but books all went in the trash. Same place this cooler should go. Lid does not seal at all.

Awesome cooler!!!!
I have had this cooler for several yeas now and has been used for several trips/events and I have been extremely pleased. While moving to our new home somwhere in the move the drain plug broke off and i could not find it. Definitely want to keep using the cooler just need to know what drain plug i need to purchase for Model # 5887. Love the cooler very durable and string. HIGHLY recommended for camping, the boat, in my case hurricane season, partys, fishing, hunting... the list goes on.

Excellent cooler and well worth the money.
I have had the Marine Extreme cooler for a couple years now and I can not only confirm that is holds the ice frozen for six days or longer due to the great sealing lid...the cooler is also bear proof as we had a bear on our campsite and he tried to get the lid open after he knocked the cooler over.The following was my facebook post "I would strongly recommend the Coleman Marine Xtreme series coolers with the tight sealing lids...they do keep the ice frozen for up to six days as stated and apparently they are bear proof as we had a bear try to get into it last night but couldn't open the lid as evident by the teeth and claw marks...he must of been mad because he knocked my flat grill over"....Cooler 1 Bear 0. Even with the claw and teeth marks on the lid, I went on a fishing trip the following weekend and the cooler still performed well and kept the ice blocks frozen for the four day trip...other than the looks of the lid, the cooler continues to be used.
