Plus, Dark Room technology blocks 9% of sunlight and reduces heat inside the tent (vs. a comparable Coleman tent) so you can rest at any time in comfort. Downpour in the forecast? Not to worry, the WeatherTec system's tub-like floor, patented welded corners, and inverted seams help keep you and your gear dry. Skydome tents are available in a range of sizes (2-person, 4-person, 6-person, or 8-person), with or without Dark Room technology.

Not easy to set up

This was way harder to set up as a single person than sold as. This was not what I wanted. So disappointed.

Amazing Space and Perfect for Sleeping In

This Coleman Skydome tent is a game-changer for camping trips. The "Dark Room" technology is incredible; it really blocks out most of the sunlight, which is perfect if you want to sleep in past sunrise. The size is very generous, providing plenty of comfort for a group or family. The instructions are clear, making the setup much faster than traditional tents. I also noticed the seams are very well-reinforced, and it offers great storage pockets inside. It’s a sturdy, high-quality tent that makes outdoor stays much more enjoyable

Cheaply made

On my first outing with this tent we had one day with 25 mph wind gusts. Three of the fiberglass poles broke and one metal joint bent. I would not trust this tent at all in wind.

Fiberglass poles can be more prone to snapping under strong, sustained gusts or flexing stress, and once one pole fails, it can quickly cascade into added strain on the rest of the frame and hardware. A bent metal joint also suggests the load shifted unevenly once the structure was compromised. This tent is generally designed for typical fair-weather camping and moderate conditions, not prolonged high winds or exposed ridge-top environments. In windier conditions, even well-designed dome tents can struggle if gusts are strong, especially without full wind protection from trees, terrain, or proper guy-line setup. If you ever continue using a similar shelter in breezy conditions, a few things can make a difference in performance: Fully staking out every guy line (not just the corners) Orienting the lowest-profile side into the wind Using additional guylines or stronger aftermarket stakes Avoiding fully exposed setups where wind can hit broadside panels That said, your experience clearly shows this particular setup didn’t meet expectations in tougher weather, and it’s reasonable to be cautious about relying on it in similar conditions going forward. Easy to put together and had lots of room!

This tent was great for my family of 4! Very spacious, we were able to fit in our toddlers pack n play and a queen air mattress! 10 out of 10 can’t recommend enough! We can’t wait for our next camping trip.
