Runs very small

It was very small on my son that wears a 10/12 he would need a 16 to fit him, but they didn't have any in store. I had to go with a different brand and style not very happy about that.

It was too small, seems to run small so size up. Don't think it's the type of coat for real cold windy snowy days, but for slightly cold days, it is perfect.

My picky kiddo says it's the best jacket ever.

My picky kiddo says it's the best jacket in the whole world. The colors are vibrant. The fit is perfect and my kiddo says it's very comfortable. We love how insulated and lightweight it is. Great overall jacket.

warm without being too bulky

My son loved this coat so much that he wanted the exact same one but in a different size. I'm grateful that Columbia continues to sell this style and color. We bought a slightly larger size so that he can layer underneath. The hood fits his head nicely so that it's not too snug yet doesn't slip off, thereby keeping his head warm. It's roomy enough to allow for a stocking cap.
