Columbia Mens Hikebound II Jacket

Comfortable fit of all that I have tried on. I have not been able to experience the effective waterproof feature. It has not rained yet. Experience of competitors rain jackets indicated waterproof when they were only water repellant. I am sure this is waterproof but we shall see.

Best rain jacket

Bought this jacket to replace a similar one that I wore for years. I live in an area which when it rains, it can rain for days. We just had 6 days of pouring rain and my jacket was perfect. Water poured off the coat and the hood protected my face. Kept me dry and toasty.

Quality rain jacket

Out of all the rain jackets I’ve owned this Hikebound II feels like the most durable quality. It blocks the wind and rain. It feels great to wear. The pockets are a breathable mesh. The mesh lining inside creates a nice air barrier. The color is exactly what I expected. The medium size fits perfectly and with enough room to layer. The hood fits great as well. I like this rain jacket so much I ordered the insulated version too.

Could be better

I need a windbreaker for our mild Arizona winter. The jacket is nice , I would order large instead of extra large, the cuffs are too wide, by the time I used the straps on the cuffs, it was very awkward looking , the mesh liner feels like it wants to come off , unfortunately I had to send it back.

The Hikebound II is no joke!

This rain jacket is awesome! Has a nice sturdy fabric to it that will certainly keep out the moisture and rain.
