The parka is not waterproof
I bought this parka specifically for an Antarctica trip I’m taking in December. The specifications looked exactly what I need. On delivery, the parka looks nice, fits well and warm. The material of the out shell looks very nice, soft and thin. I was a little doubtful about if it’s waterproof because the fabric is too soft, not at all rugged. I kept it because the specs say it’s waterproof, thinking it may be made of some advanced material. However, it turns out the parka is not waterproof, as I suspected. On my first day of the trip, we had rain, and some splashing on zodiac. My parka was completely soaked. The insulation layer and inside is all wet. Yes, the out shell does resist water if it’s a few drops, but water goes through in rain or when getting splashed. My wife bought a different Columbia coat with same specs, but hers has a harder and more rugged out shell and her coat is waterproof. She was kept dry on the same trip. The specs of my parka are misleading, it’s not waterproof.

Warm, Lightweight, and Truly Waterproof
The Men’s Street Height Parka is impressively warm and genuinely waterproof without feeling heavy or bulky. The fit leaves enough room for a hoodie underneath, and the longer length plus deep pockets make it great for everyday wear in cold, wet weather. The fabric feels a bit light, so I’m careful with it, but overall I’m very happy with this jacket.

It' ok
Just purchased this and its OK. The exterior is delicate and is going to tear easy so i was a disappointed and sending it back. The interior is well insulated and warm so if your looking for a warm and delicate coat for the winter its decent.
