Good quality, as usual

light weight shorts for hiking/water sports. Good material. I have been buying Columbia shorts, jackets, and pants for years, and will continue to do so.

Awesome Shorts

Awesome shorts for the price. Used for backpacking and they held up great. Top notch moisture wicking prevents sweating through. Also great to use if you come across a watering hole. I’m a size 32 waist, got a small and they fit great.

Dismal quality shorts—avoid if possible!

First time wearing these shorts, hiking up the Diamond Head Crater (a light hike). Within the first 15 minutes, split at the seams in multiple places—amuses one’s friends, but not what the hikers on the trail behind me paid for. Expect such quality from a big-box store chain based in Bentonville, Arkansas, but Columbia? Really, Columbia, you can do better.

Very comfortable but no fly

These shorts are great. Well made, fit great and dry fast. Great for swimming! One ding; there's no zippered fly on these shorts. It's not a huge deal but an inconvenience. That being said, not effecting my rating. very comfortable.
