ColumbiaPlus Size Benton Springs Hooded Fleece Jacket

Long! Fitted! Tight sleeves, no hoodie drawstring.

Bought this for an October trip to Iceland to wear under waterproof coat. For that purpose, it worked great---warm, fitted so it wasn't a bulky layer, long in the body *and* the sleeves! BUT I bought a plus sized 3x...and the error that sooooo many plus-sized clothing makers is present in this hoodie: the sleeves are tight. I know many plus-sized women and all of us have plus-sized upper arms to go with our plus-sized bodies. I am only able to fit the thinnest, tightest, form-fitting sleeves under this hoodie and even then the hoodie sleeves wrinkle and bunch because they are tight. And because of this problem, it's not a cozy item to wear. I am so glad that I only bought one instead of my initial intent to get one in every color. As I said, I like the fitted shape of the garment but I have an hourglass shape---if someone has a different body type, the torso might be uncomfortable because the seams are well-made and sturdy. Another peeve, the hoodie doesn't have a drawstring. It has a very high neck but even with the zipper fully up, the hoodie is loose around the face which lets in wind and makes your head cold. (Iceland was very windy!) Basically, I'll keep this item but I'll only be wearing it once in a while when my expectations were that it was going to be in regular rotation.

This is stupid I have boughten these fleece jackets for years and this makes me so mad I just received my jacket tonight and was super exited to wear it to work tomorrow. And cant because the arms are too tight and the jacket is way too small. Made for someone with small arms and small mid section with small boots. Not for someone plus size. And the fleece is so cheap feeling. Columbia... ge tit together and fix your fleece zip ups.

I has to send my jacket back because it fit tight. This jacket run small. I so wanted this jacket. It's warm and soft.

Almost perfect

I bought this last spring. Love the length of the body and the sleeves. Perfect weight for cool day activities like walking the dogs. The only thing I didn’t like was that the sleeves are too tight. Now that I look at the picture online again, I can see they’re too tight on the models arms too. That’s the only thing keeping me from buying more colors. The Benton vest I have 3 colors in because I love it so much.

Tight sleeves

I bought a regular Benton Springs hjacket about 3 years ago, I ordered this one, thinking it would be otherwise the same, just longer and with a hoodie. It is not. One majir change is that the sleeves are tighter and lack the elastic cuffs, that keep them from sliding over your hands (you can actually see that in the pictures). If you already have big arms, the sleeves feel too snug.
