Sun Protection

Dissappointing - weird size and too thick.

Very dissapopointed. Shirt is much heavier than expected based on teh description. I wore it on my back patio, out of the sun, in 75 degree weather and it was already too warm to be comfortable. Sleeves are very long. In the 2x, they hung completely past my hands. They were too long on my nearly 6 foot tall husband. Not sure who they size these things for.

Good Protection

I bought this for working in the yard in the southern desert climate. It helped keep my fair skin from burning, but I still felt the effects of the sun on my arms underneath the shirt. I would definitely recommend wearing sunscreen even underneath - though I bought the dark navy color, and perhaps a lighter color would have been better. The fabric is wonderful and kept me cool on a very hot and sunny day. I normally wear a size 2x and bought a 1x - it fits but is is slightly small, so this shirt certainly fits true to the sizing chart. I would highly recommend this shirt!

Not quite in love with it yet...

I am fair-skinned and sunburn very easily, so I chose the Tidal Tee hoodie based on the sun protection. So far it has kept me sunburn free! I got it in Sunnyside, which is a really bright and fun color. I've biked in 90* temps and am surprised at how cool it stays. Now for the dislikes: the yellow is a bit see through. You definitely need a tank or something underneath. I picked my normal size because a lot of the reviews says it runs big...it's actually a bit small, and having to wear a shirt under I wish I would've gone up a size. When my hair is in a bun or pony, the hood is too small to really cover much.

Love these shirts

I love having these shirts. These are great for the beach or the lake. I’m have very fair skin and burn easily, these are nice to help block the sun and light weight enough so you will not get hot. The hood is nice if you want to wear it to protect your scalp and ears. The loose fit is nice so you can wear it over your swimsuit.
