Pick this Parka

This Columbia parka does what it is supposed to do…keeps you warm on very cold blustery days. I removed the faux fur trim on the hood because it hung down in my eyes. I wear a hat to keep the hood up and out of my face. I am 5’4” 150 lbs, and although I could wear the Medium, I purchased the large to have ample room for layering and movement such as shoveling snow. I purchased this to replace a North Face parka with a broken zipper. It hangs nearly to my knees which makes it a much warmer coat. Wasn’t sure I would like such a long length until we had zero temperatures, and this parka has been a lifesaver when walking my dog. The insulation isn’t puffy or thick and heavy. So glad I purchased it. It is well worth the money to stay warm. Getting it on sale made my day. I ordered the navy, which I like much better than black. The only negative is the pockets are straight instead of being slanted, so so they are more for looks than functionality.

Columbia Suttle MTN. long insulated coat

I was out in 15 Degree, at 9:30 p.m. I walked to the end of the buildings and almost got blown over, ...BUT, I was warm :) What a great coat! Covers rear, very warm, hood is great, Had to take the fur off, it was cute, but not "me" Color: dark stone, looks pink in pic on pc, but, is actually a nice tan/khaki nuetral color. I bought an XL, I am 155# and 5'5" avg. build, wider shoulders, arms a bit longer, torso also a bit longer...Could have fit in Lg fine, until I layered up.

Sizing for me was very off

I wear a size large in every pair of pants I own except for these pants and this size large felt like a s/m. I could t get it over my hips ! I will give you that I have gotten “ pretty chunky” these last couple of years but not this chunky ‘ I had to return. Columbia has always been a very great standby product for me but not anymore !
