Sadly the zipper broke within a year. I can still zip it, but if I move wrong it detaches from the bottom.

Great coat overall

This coat is good overall, it looks good and it’s warm enough, I got multiple compliments with the green one . I waited to use it in 20F weather and it kept me warm. The hood is particularly effective, it’s like a cocoon around your head and really keeps the wind at bay. The neck comes up high enough that it your all head/neck area toasty. Now, pockets. It’s worth noting that the hand pockets are in the front not on the side, not a deal breaker for me but could annoy others. I wish there was a pocket inside the coat but there is a very big handy one in the front: practical and looks nice. I originally ordered a small, I’m 5”3, about 130lbs with larger hips. It was too snug. I sent it back and reordered a medium which was much better although still a little snug around my hips but large would be way too big. The medium allows me to put layers under the coat without feeling restricted.

This coat is very warm. Sometimes too warm! I’m 5’1” and 100lbs. The small is perfect for layering. Unfortunately, this is only my second winter with this coat and it looks so worn through that it’s now my “bad” coat. My last Columbia coat lasted me 10 years! The fabric is threadbare at the sleeves, the pocket, the top of the zipper where my mouth hits… The seams are popping open in different places. It needs more durable fabric.

I love this coat!

This coat ticks all the boxes for me! Longer length to keep the tops of your legs warm; roomy front patch pockets; zippered security pocket with easy access and large enough to hold cell phone, drivers license etc; a roomy hood (adjustable for your head size and whether or not you’re wearing a hat); fur trim on hood is plush and generous and does an excellent job of blocking the wind. I went with collegiate navy which has a bit of a denim vibe to it which is attractive. I usually wear an XL in Columbia coats but this one has a generous cut (even with being rated “active fit”) and an L fit perfectly.

Wonderfully Warm Coat

I got this as a gift for Christmas and could not be happier. The versatile double zip is great for when you need to sit in the coat. The length is wonderful and keeps me warm. I like the chest pocket. It worked great for my badge at work. The hood kept my ears so warm on this frigid morning.

Needs better, sturdy stitching

I just received this coat. Upon trying it on for the first time, reaching my hand into the right hand pocket, the seam ripped three inches. Stitching is not as sturdy as needed. Warm, decent design but be ready to ‘reinforce seams’ as needed.
