Why hasn't this been fixed?

Why when they know that the soles are falling off of these shoes do they not just fix the problem? I bought mine about a year ago, wore them a dozen times since then and the rubber on the sides is separating from the rubber on the bottom. How hard can it be to fix the problem. Updating Chuck Taylor's design with added comfort was not a bad idea, but this one bad choice (in adhesive i suppose) is bringing down the entire product line.

Amazing Shoe

Im one of those people who buys the same casual shoe over and over once I need a new pair. I used to wear vans black eras and bought a new pair every 6 to 8 months for 4 years, then I switched to classic white chucks and bought a new pair of those every 6 to 8 months for 2 years. Then I found these and have fallen in love. The Chuck II's are loads better than the originals. I bought the white ones (with the dope navy star logo) over a year ago and have had the same pair since. I wear them basically everyday. I've hiked in them, I've occasionally worked out with them (only lifting, no running) and they still have held up perfectly. The padded tongue makes the shoe much more comfortable along with the lunarlon insole. I would 100 percent recommend this shoe, the only reason Im about to order another pair is because these ones are basically brown now and I want them to be fresh again. This pair has gone through the ringer, but they could easily still last me until next March (a complete 18 months) is my guess. This shoe in my opinion is more durable and more comfortable than the classic chuck. Absolutely buy these, I am never going back to the originals and I can tell you I will only buy white chuck II's from now on.

Disappointed

I loved these shoes as soon as I got them. I wear an 11 in most shoes, and 9.5 in the converse all stars, and I got a 10 in these and they fit perfectly. They took a couple days to break in, but once I broke them in they were extremely comfortable. I wore them basically everyday and the new canvas used on these doesn't show dirt like the original converse and makes them very easy to just brush clean. These would be perfect but after less than a year of wearing them the bottom sole has come apart and is coming off of the shoe. I purchased these late 2015 and I noticed it in 2016. I only noticed it when I had to walk across campus in the rain and my foot was soaked. I superglued it back on but its just coming apart even more. The picture is after I first discovered it. Also, in the back where the heel is, the fabric is coming apart and holes have formed. This isn't as bad as the sole and expected since it is subjected to a lot of friction. I have multiple pairs of the original converse and they have lasted me more than 5 years, they are much more durable than these. i recommended them to my friend a couple of months ago and he purchased them and hasnt had any problems yet so i'm hoping they fixed the problem.

Nice!

I had to knock a star off for only one reason. I have slightly narrow feet, but it doesn't seem like it with these shoes. The widest part of the foot, where the ball is just above the toes, is very surprisingly tight. I tried re-lacing and stretching but I think I'll just have to break it in. I got mine in white, and I love how they look with black laces. I've had a dozen different color chucks before, and this new design is an instant favorite. Time to start a new collection I suppose!

I've been thinking about getting these for a while now do they really run true to size?? I'm a size 12 in running shoes but when it comes to canvas shoes I wear 11 I have many pairs of the old chucks all in 11, but these are made by Nike now so I really wanna know if I should get 11 or 12? Thanks!

How can you not love these new Chucks?

The originals were amazing, they could be worn with anything and worn anywhere, now 98 years later they finally make a new version and theyre even better. With the Lunarlon technology, you cant go wrong with spending the extra bucks for the newer chucks. They look identical aside from a couple updates but they feel like a completely new shoe. I sometimes forget if Im wearing these shoes or my free runs because they feel so similar. If you want the look of a casual shoe, but the feel of an athletic shoe, you have to get these Chuck Taylors.
