employee did not measure correctly

Came in to purchase my grandbaby some new shoes since her growth spurt. I had the employee measure her foot and he measured her at a size 10 I was blown away but thought numbers don’t lie. For a 3.5 yr old she is really tall and currently in bigger sizes but that meant she jumped 3 sizes over night. I trusted his skills and also watched him measure. Got them home and they look like clown shoes. Cute but clown shoes.. now I have to do a return which is an inconvenience since I don’t see her often
