Button fell off the first time I wore it!

Got this shirt for a beach/pool cover up. I cannot wear linen so I was so excited to find it in cotton. The first time I wore it one of the buttons split in half and fell off. :( Some shirts have an extra button attached to the tag inside but not this one. I bought it on sale in April and now it is June so the return window has passed. These buttons are unique (which is why I got the shirt) and hard to find so the shirt is a waste now.
