Works, kind-of

I received my Cowin water fountain. I attached a nozzle and placed it in the water, per instructions, on a very sunny day. Nothing! No pumping at all! Many reviews complain of the same thing. HOWEVER...I realized this pump is NOT ASSEMBLED CORRECTLY at the factory. The underside of the pump has two (2) small black boxes attached with a black wire. One box is permanent. That is fine. The other box has a small round hole. This is the pump. The pump is attached to the underside of the solar panel with several suction cups. This is incorrect. The pump is supposed to be facing upward, not downward. This is why it does not work. Gently pull the pump away from the solar panel and FLIP THE PUMP OVER, so that the suction feet face downward. Push the round hole of the pump into the center-underside hole in the solar panel. The pump should remain in place. Now it is assembled correctly. The pump should work. NOTE...THIS PUMP ONLY WORKS IN BRIGHT SUNLIGHT. On cloudy or hazy days, this pump does not develop enough power to run constantly. On such days, the pump may hardly work or it may sporadically squirt water. This is not a malfunction. It is simply the solar panel not being able to develop enough electrical current on less than bright sunny days. I am keeping mine. It floats in a birdbath and looks great on sunny days. On not-so-sunny days it spurts water intermittently, but the pump action still is fun to watch and the pumping helps to keep the water fresh and clean for the birds.

Horrible/waste of money

Waste of money… I forgot to check the reviews before ordering… if you want this piece of junk to function for only 2 days then give it a try…

Solar Fountain

This fountain does not work. Even after several days in the sun, it would not function.

The worst

This item was horrible. It says they have a lifetime guarantee but when you scan and click the steps and directions are all in a foreign language and you cant copy and paste to interpret. It worked for 2 weeks in full sun, but barely, then the motor just died. No batteries so no way to charge or replace. Waste of money big time. No one to contact to replace but it probably wouldnt be worth it to do so anyways. Can't believe Macy's even sells this junk. Wish I could go back in time to never purchase.

Do not purchase

If I can return the two that I bought, I will. Neither one is spraying water. I can hear and see the little motor thing working, but no water is coming from the nozzle. The instructions "our customer service is friendly and hassle-free, please contact us if needed:" However, there is no phone, email, or address. There is a lovely little QR code, if you read Chinese, which I do not. If there is anyone out there in "No Customer Service" land, please email me.
