Nice fur that probably won't wash well

The faux fur is surprisingly nice quality, but my major fear is that I don't think this is going to machine wash very well. If you have ever washed a faux fur throw blanket, you know what I mean. The tips of the fur hairs start to degrade and break off, leaving the surface kind of clumpy and jagged, instead of silky. So I think this is the kind of thing that looks cute when new, but rapidly starts to look bad after a few washes.

Soft but weirdly shaped even for a “crop”. I was hoping to wear this with the matching pants. But between the word shape of the top and safe front of the bottoms, I wish I could return. Outside, color and design of the material itself is great, quality material, soft.
