SO CAPTIVATING AND FUN

I absolutely loveddddd this book. It was one of my top 5 overall. The story telling of it is very different and I loved the “interview” point of view. Very great. I watched the show on Amazon prime first so I’d have “faces” to the characters. Made it THAT much more great. Still really dislike the ending though. I’m sorry but I just can’t be happy about it 🙄🤣😭!!

The most interesting & unique style writing

Finished in no time, so fast actually. I have never read an interview-based novel before and it is strangely so much of a fun read. I never read books twice, but I will again read this soon. Compared to the tv series, the story was changed up and different in some mild areas. I loved the original, but kind of wishing it had some of the additional drama from the series included. Overall, this is such a good choice.

creative book overall

the plot of this entire book is sooooo interesting and creative. i am thoroughly impressed that the author had this idea of a band and made it come to life. though, my one critique is of the writing style. it was pretty annoying at some points to switch back and forth between characters.

Daisy Jones and The Sox

Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book, Daisy Jones and The Six, is a thrilling and unpredictable page turner that I couldn’t put down. From the very first chapter of this book I was hooked, Daisy Jones is a young girl growing up in the 70s with a passion for music. Daisy has had a beautiful voice from a young age but never did anything with it publicly. Meanwhile in Pittsburg, Billy Dunne and his brother Graham are starting a band. As the band takes off they move to California where they later meet Daisy. Daisy is a fiery spirit who finds herself joining the band and ending up in a tough situation. Throughout this book Daisy Jones and her new band members go through ups and downs of love, music, substances, and more. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, I felt like I was a part of the book going through the rollercoaster of emotions this band experienced. Taylor Jenkins Reid couldn’t have ended this book better, even though we were left on a cliffhanger it wrapped the story together perfectly. Before purchasing this book I had watched the TV show version and I wish I knew how different the book was but in the best way. I loved both versions of Daisy Jones and The Six but the detail in this book was incredible! I would recommend this book to any music lovers, especially early rock lovers. Daisy Jones reminds me very much of Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac so anyone who loves that band should definitely read this book. Overall this is the best book I have ever read and I am already rereading it now!

Definitely not my favorite

I honestly couldn’t get past the writing style of this book. It’s a lot of switching back and forth from character to character with 3rd grade-level sentences. It made it really hard to actually enjoy any part of the plot.

Just ok

I don't see what the big deal is about this book. It was a story of a band's rise to fame as they paired up with Daisy Jones.

Horrible

This is the worst book I have read in ages! Don't waste your money and most of all your time. Stupid, predictable, and boring.
