5 stars quality 1 star S and H

Bookends are of excellent quality...heavy and solid and so adorable. Five Stars there. Had to rate it only 1 Star as item arrived with one of the kitty's ears and back paw were broken. Tried to return at store to no avail. Service Rep was so rude and "put out" that I even approached her with return. "I have to go through a third party" was all I gleaned. Wish me luck!

Cute!

They're cute, but some scratches or gouges in them? They were painted over so I wonder if they are meant to be distressed? I still have them as a gift because they are fun.

Thinking of returning them...

I am glad that I got these on sale because I really don't love them. They are not as big as I thought...which is my fault for not reading the dimensions, but they are not very heavy and don't hold the books up well. In fact, one of them is heavier than the other. I thought they were ceramic, but they are just a thick plastic.
