Not worth your time

I’m listening to this on the Libby app and it can’t be finished quick enough! 12 hours is the length and I still have 2 hours left. This book is at least 4 hours too long. I can’t wait for it to be done. It is so boring but I won’t quit til it’s finished. “It’s me Walter”. If I was Walter, I’d run as fast and as far as I could away from this ridiculous protagonist.

Unusual sci-fi story from Patterson

Another sci-fi story from Patterson and J.D. Barker, who brings the sci-fi influence, I assume. A young policeman encounters a young woman early in his career who becomes his "white whale," the one who continually escapes his grasp. As he becomes a detective and then moves to the FBI and then to a secret federal group, she continues to elude him. Her powers are weird, unbelievable, and shocking, if you can even believe them. The story moves from the past to the present and back again to relate all of the action, and to prepare the reader for the shocking ending. Thanks to NetGalley, Little, Brown and Company, and Grand Central Publishing for providing an ARC.

Quite Lengthy But Interesting

Talk about a long wild ride! Death of the Black Widow had an incredible conclusion, one I really did not feel would be able to happen. Our main "hero" is Walter O'Brien, a talented, intelligent police officer who I originally thought was just obsessed with a case he never solved. What I learned was Walter was indeed obsessed but not by his own choice. As a young police officer, Walter is investigating what appears to be a kidnapped and assaulted young lady who has killed her kidnapper. Walter learns this definitely is not the case, and he spends the next three decades chasing this young lady around the world. Walter loses his job as a police detective, and he joins two other men on the same mission: Find this woman before she kills again. This was a great read, but I do feel it could have been written 150 pages less.

I don't know about you guys but I am a HUGE James Patterson fan! Honestly there aren't many of his books that I haven't read and each and every one of them I finish in a day because I always get lost in them and this one was no different! I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say what I think about the book! This one is a little different. It has a paranormal twist but it adds to the mystery and the adventure! The pace is great and the mystery of the woman is beyond interesting! It splits between the present and from Walter's first meeting with the mysterious gray eyed woman! The murders have been going on for hundreds of years so the question is is there a group of black widows or is there one person? Overall it was a gripping and entertaining thriller turner that had me up long after my bedtime!

Worst book ever by Patterson

I joined the audiobook club with this book. I wasted a credit. I stopped listening to the book at chapter 23.

Felt Like A Science Fiction Book

This book was the weirdest books I've ever read. Most of the time I could not tell if the main character was having a dream sequence or if it was really happening. The 1st 1/2 of the book was ok but then it becomes really weird. Biting people's fingers off and eating them, possible alien beings, just lots of weird, unbelievable stuff. Other books by Patterson I've liked but not this one.
