A clever and steamy queer romantic comedy about taking chances and accepting love with all its complications from the author of Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail. Delilah Green swore she would never go back to Bright Falls nothing is there for her but memories of a lonely childhood where she was little more than a burden to her cold and distant stepfamily. Her life is in New York, with her photography career finally gaining steam and her bed never empty. Sure, it's a different woman every night, but that's just fine with her. When Delilah's estranged stepsister, Astrid, pressures her into photographing her wedding with a guilt trip and a five-figure check, Delilah finds herself back in the godforsaken town that she used to call home. She plans to breeze in and out, but then she sees Claire Sutherland, one of Astrid's stuck-up besties, and decides that maybe there's some fun (and a little retribution) to be had in Bright Falls, after all. Having raised her eleven-year-old daughter mostly on her own while dealing with her unreliable ex and running a bookstore, Claire Sutherland depends upon a life without surprises. And Delilah Green is an unwelcome surprise at first. Though they've known each other for years, they don't really know each other so Claire is unsettled when Delilah figures out exactly what buttons to push.

Sizzling cozy romance

When I started this one I worried I might not like it. I felt this way for approximately two chapters. Then I loved it. I was worried it was going to be about a black sheep in the family and she would spend most of the book not fitting in, which was not the case. After the bar scene I was hooked and didn’t look back. The characters in this are so great. I especially liked Iris who just had endless snark and didn’t discriminate. I loved the supportive friend group and the sizzling chemistry between Delilah and Claire. I was so sad to leave these characters behind, so I will probably have to give the others in the trilogy a go. I recommend this to anyone who likes a sapphic romance!

Amazing

I bought this book for the queer characters in it. However, I fell in love with this book and it’s so much more than its queer characters. The story was amazing after I finished reading it I wanted to read it again. The family dynamics, the friendships, and the emotion in this book was 10 out of 10. I’ve never written a review but I had to for this book. Read it, it will not disappoint!

Love this sapphic romance

REALLY loving all of the character in these series, they are so relatable, fun, and loveable. AND it has one of my all time favorite tropes.... grumpy sunshine! Definitely recommend if you're looking for more sapphic romance in your life, you're gonna love it!

Steamy & Heart Warming

Not only was this book steamy, but it also was addictingly good! You go on a self-discovery journey with both characters. Claire runs a bookstore and is the mother of an 11-year-old daughter. She has no time for much of a social life. I wanted her to win so badly! Delilah is a heartbroken struggling artist estranged from the little family she has. She ran away to start her photography career but with no luck so far. Until she gets a once-in-a-lifetime phone call. Now she's conflicted, does she help her family that never really liked her or make a name for herself? Delilah and Claire team up to save Astrid, Delilah's stepsister, and Claire's best friend. I enjoyed that the characters felt relatable, I instantly felt connected to each of their stories. When a book gets me invested in the lives of the characters, I get so excited. Does anyone else feel that way? I do wish we got the POV from Delilah's Stepmother. I kind of wanted to know how she felt about things since we only got to know about her from Delilah and Astrid's points of view.
