2nd time travel with the 29inch and it had multiple cracks when retrieved from the baggage carousel. I understand the people that work at the airport are not gentle on luggages but it is too early to break when it is the 2nd time I've used it. I have my other luggages like samsonite for years and has still held up.
Does not hold up to travel! Do not recommend!
We bought 4 of these suitcases for a planned retirement trip. Less than one year after 4 trips, the corner seams holding the zipper, on both of the 25" size bags, have ripped from the zipper going around the angle. You should not have to be worrying on a trip, that your suitcase might not stay together. Plus, with it ripping, it was very challenging trying to get it unzipped. We have now had to hand stitch those corners, 4 times. Puts a damper on your trip, when you are stitching a bag in Europe, before flying home. I refuse to pay to ship the suitcase to a repair facility, but will deliver it in person, next time we are going to be in that area. I want a discussion, to find out how many others have suffered the same results. Its a 5 hour round trip drive, to the closest repair facility. I loved the suitcases in the beginning but now I hate them because they have caused so much stress with the poor integrity of the corners. They move like a dream on their wheels, are lighter than other bags and they look nice, but after 15 years of owning Delsey suitcases, I am considering going back to Samsonite, where we never had any problems.
Very nice luggage
I just got back from a 2 week Europe vacation and the 25" worked perfectly! It was easy to walk with and even on the cobblestone streets, you could pull it like the older bags and not have a problem. It is lightweight and holds a lot, I didn't even have to use the expand option and stayed under the 50lb weight limit. Definitely many trips and years to come with this luggage. Good thing I like purple, because it is definitely more purple than blue.
