Odd whiskering for black denim

I'm a fan of the Democracy "Ab"solution line and own several pairs of Democracy jeans, but I sent this pair of black denim back. The whiskering on the black looked like white-ish stripes drawn with deodorant or a bar of soap. Gave the appearance the denim needed to be vigorously brushed off or laundered. Weird. Looks much different than in photos.

I will never stop buying my jeans from Macy's.

I think I could have ordered a smaller size, but I didn't want to return them because I never know what my weight loss/gain is going to be next month. I'm a yo-yo person. Plus, I'm getting older, so that factors in as well. Oh well! Such is life!

Is it a feature or a bug

The jeans fit me (a minor miracle these days), look good, are well constructed and nicely soft. But then I noticed torn fabric just below the left pocket! I immediately sent them back, meanwhile ordering another pair. The new pair arrived -- with the same tear in the same place! Then I looked carefully at the website's photo, and you can just barely see a splotch of white underneath the pocket. So, they're either torn on purpose or there's no quality control. I'm in my 70s, so torn jeans give the impression that I'm making a pathetic attempt to look young and hip. Shouldn't the rip be mentioned in the product details? And if you're going to manufacture torn jeans, why rip them in just one spot, where it looks accidental rather than intentional? Bottom line, I decided to keep them, since I usually wear shirts that can cover the spot.

Chemical Smell

The jeans are nice looking but I can’t get past the strong chemical smell. Afraid it will linger after washing and then unable to return, so I’m returning.

Nice quality Jeans!

Love these Jeans! High waisted, straight leg & lightweight demon. Elastic at waist that I don’t even have to open button & zipper & just pull them up!!
